Saturday, February 28th
Calvary United Methodist Church
971 Beech Ave,
Pittsburgh 15233
(Corner of Beech and Allegheny Ave)
10:00am-Noon

Elected officials are respectfully encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to question a panel of community leaders and activists, distinguished elected officials, and labor leaders on the Employee Free Choice Act and related local issues. The right to organize creates a landscape where we can rebuild our communities through good jobs, hold corporations accountable, and ensure living wage jobs for our families. Join us as our community comes together to discuss the right to organize and its importance to rebuilding the fading American middle class.

Welcoming a New Day on Trade and Globalization Policy

CLUW has signed on to the Citizens Trade Campaign's letter to Congress calling for new and just trade policies. The letter outlines the opportunities we have to develop new trade policies that serve America's workers, farmers, consumers and the global environment, including President-elect Obama's promise to renegotiate NAFTA, Sen. Brown and Rep. Michaud's comprehensive fair trade reform package called the TRADE Act, and rejection of hangover Bush NAFTA expansions.
